Hey guys! This past Saturday I went out to Brimfield, Ma with my girlfriend and buddy for the Brimfield Flea Market. We spent about five hours or so walking around, looking at all sorts of things and bartering a bit. I ended up with a few records I had been looking for while my girlfriend bought a really cool drawer for art supplies. I think the drawer was an old printing press type-face storage cabinet or something...really cool once we finish it up. We left in the afternoon fairly confident that we saw lots of good things and should go back in September...but then we drove through town to leave and realized we spent 5 hours or so and only saw 20% of the entire flea market. Jeez.
Anywho, about halfway through my day I realized there were lots of old toys and such laying around. I don't collect die cast or models but thought that if I could get some images for interested Opponauts it could be my good deed for the week. If you are someone interested in models and Hot Wheels, hit up the closest large flea market to you. Seriously, I saw kits for Diablos, Testarossas, Model A's and more. There were old trucks like a fully functioning fire truck made out of tin, an old dump truck whose hydraulic bed still lifted and more. I didn't think to get pictures of these (actually, the hydraulic one is the third pic), unfortunately, so you will have to make do with the below. Enjoy!
The hydraulic still was working! You can see the lever in front of the rear wheels.
So many badges!
My friend actually really liked this one...it was a pretty big set.
I like this shot...haphazard toy shelf?
Could see both sides of the engine, suicide doors worked and the trunk also opened!
I like this one...toybox kind of feel.
This is my favorite. Quick glance fooled my friend into thinking it was real!
These were taken with my phone, not staged and quickly so people wouldn't start trying to barter with me on something I did not want to buy. Quality varies, as does framing.

There are some nice looking badges in there. Buncha Euro looking ones.

That was probably a quarter of what the guy had laid out on his tables. Lots of Opel ones, now that I think about it. Badges for days.

I actually didn't open it completely, just moved it to see if it would open. Suicide doors were pretty cool, though.

I love flea markets. My local one has been pretty disappointing recently. I want that Ghia badge.

Dude, I feel you. My family needs to move out before this upcoming winter. The house we are renting was heated by a wood-burning stove, but a couple weeks ago apparently the landlords insurance said we couldn't do that. The only other heat source is electric heat, which works well in one bedroom, decent in another, and not at all in the main bedroom (its a small house). It a home that was built for summer use, isn't really insulated, and there are cracks in the windows. We discovered that we need to move last week, so my wife and I are a bit frantic about it.
We found a nice house the next street over, but its a land by contract setup. And balloon payments aren't fun....so I totally understand you and your position. *fist bump*

*fist bump* received haha
But damn, get it done good sir. Even if something would be a little more $ I bet it would be negligible when factoring in the benefits of better insulation. Good luck

It would be.
The house we looked at is awesome. It was a summer cottage (2 bedrooms, 1 bath, 1 living/dining room, 1 kitchen) like the one I'm renting (2 bedroom, small bath, 1 kitchen, 1 living room, 1 enclosed porch). Then one of the owners decided to add an extension on it, making the house twice it's size. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, living and dining room, etc. On one of the original cottage walls, that now faces the new living room, there's a place to put in a window in the frame. How cool is that? I want to go for it, I'm just waiting on the wife's decision.
Also, you better get some living arrangements too! Oppo does not need Mr. Cazzyodo living on the streets in his fridge box. Trust me when I say there is little to no insulation in those things. So Good luck to you too!

The trays of small diecast would be good to scan for varities. Most look to be of 70s vintage.
The 32 Ford 3 window looks like a Hubley metal kit, popular in the 60s and 70s.

that was the most organized set up for die cast. Many were either randomly on the table or in larger boxes/buckets.
Good eye and info!
